    Our Lady of Sorrows has evolved from a small parish, originally named St. Patrick's in 1920, into one of the largest, most recognized parishes in the Rio Grande Valley. It was renamed Our Lady of Sorrows, in honor of Our Blessed Mother, in 1941.

    Example Event
    Plan to join your fellow parishioners for the annual OLOL St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Gourmet Soup and Salad Supper on Ash Wednesday, February 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Catering St. Louis will again provide delicious specialties from several well-known area restaurants. The cost is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Takeout will be available. Order forms are available here and at church entrances and online. Contact John Durnien at johndurnien@sbcglobal.net. Proceeds benefit the Society.

     Our parish will be joining dozens of parishes and organizations in the St. Louis area by participating in 40 Days for Life, an international campaign to encourage Christians to pray and fast for an end to abortion. Information will be available after Masses next weekend (2/21 & 2/22). Stop by the table or contact Amos at 309.838.6504 or at amosjohnlong@hotmail.com with questions.
