Rev. Msgr. Gustavo Barrera, pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop John Fitzpatrick in 1979, the year he received his Master of Divinity from St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and was named Prelate of Honor (Monsignor) by Pope John Paul II in 2000.  He is currently Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus #12040, 4th Degree, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas #2368.  Msgr. Gus has proudly been pastor at OLS since September of 2007.
